Job Description:
- Scientifically lead a discovery research team developing innovative ways to manufacture cell product for clinical trial.
- Subject matter expert in CAR T cell process development and manufacturing.
- Execute research timelines to meet program and corporate objectives.
- Design, execute, and interpret process development study data to understand the mechanism-of-action and play an active role in subsequent scientific discussions to drive decisions.
- Write and review protocols, SOPs, technical reports, regulatory documents, and memos to summarize experiments and investigations.
- Partner with internal cross-functional team members to facilitate technical assessment, technical transfer, and IND filing.
- Closely mentor scientists to further develop talent within the group.
- Other duties will be assigned, as necessary.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Immunology, Genetic Engineering, or related discipline.
- Extensive hands-on experience with CRSIPR- genome engineering in multiple cell types.
- Independently design constructs and sgRNA for KO/KI through non-viral gene transfer technologies (EP, LNP) or viral transfer technologies (LVV, RVV, VLP).
- Profound skills in analytical methods including but not limited to flow cytometry, real-time PCR, off-target evaluation, NGS, ddPCR.
- Much experience in CAR-T, CAR-γδT, or CAR-NK cell immunotherapies, including cell culture, immune cell activation, expansion, viral transduction or /and non-viral gene transfer, in vitro & in vivo characterization.
- Excellent communication skills both in English and Chinese, detail-oriented organization skills, and team collaboration skills.
- Strong ability to edit data, report data, present findings to management is required.
- Ability to manage priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment to make sure deliverables are achieved in a timely fashion.
- A strong track record of scientific accomplishments, including first-author publications, patent applications, and/or presentations at major national meetings, is required.
- Occasional domestic or international travel required.
