Job Location: Nanjing, China
Responsibilities:
- Lead, design, and execute experiments aimed at developing next-generation genome editing strategies using CRISPR-based tools and beyond.
- Design and produce DNA, RNA, and virus-based reagents for genome editing experiments in human cells.
- Apply various genome editing tools at different stages of CAR-T discovery and development.
- Develop and execute in-house NGS workflows, including the following: NGS library preparation and quantification.
- Lead from the lab to advance novel and differentiated cell therapy products toward clinical milestones, by working collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Contribute creatively to seed innovation projects through literature review and shape execution tactics.
- Recommends changes to project direction based on an understanding of current literature and in-house experimental data.
- Accurately capture data in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity and protocol compliance.
Qualifications:
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the development and implementation of advanced genetic tools - such as genome editing, CRISPR systems, transposons and DNA assembly - with particular emphasis on the challenges associated with applying these tools in mammalian cells.
- Proficiency in standard molecular techniques, e.g., cloning strategies, PCR, library preparation for next generation sequencing, RNA handling, qPCR, etc.
- Experience with NGS library prep, characterization and optimization of CRISPR systems or other technologies.
- Good coordination and communication skills are required. Highly organized and efficient, able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skill is preferred. Ability to coordinate parallel tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization.
