The Research Analyst will be part of a growing team of Chinese Researchers who will monitor country/city real estate markets across various property sectors and industries. The Research Analyst will contribute to best-in-class research that differentiates JLL and provides a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
The Research Analyst will leverage proprietary JLL data and source;update and validate third party data. The Research Analyst will collaborate with our Research teams across the world to produce regular quarterly market overviews and contribute to thought leadership publications and other content developed by the Research team. The role will require a basic understanding of the property market;economy and geography;industry sectors;strong data and analysis skills. The successful candidate will be expected to support all research teams depending on need and capacity.
What this job involves:
-Interest in real estate with a strong commitment to learning micro- and macro-level market dynamics.
-Source and update;validate;analyse;and visualize data on the country’s/city’s commercial (and residential) real estate market;including data related to supply and performance such as current and future stock;lease and sale transactions;tenants;and owners.
-Source and update data on the country’s macro and socio-economic environment such as economic performance;demographics.
-Leveraging proprietary JLL data and third-party data sources;produce standard Research deliverables including the quarterly market Insights;market overview PowerPoint decks;and short/medium/long form reports as requested by clients and the business.
-Contribute to thought leadership and research content developed by Research teams (locally & globally) through sharing data and contributing market knowledge and information where relevant to drive client engagement and business growth.
-Support the business development process by delivering property and sector insights in various formats including slide decks.
-Support ongoing and new client Research Advisory mandates through market analysis and development of end product for the client.
-Act as a touchpoint for external and internal enquiries regarding the country’s real estate market;with a particular focus on data requirements;market intelligence and trends.
-Develop strong relationships and collaborate effectively with the Research lead and researchers in the country/market to effectively understand the market and develop the appropriate end product.

Essential:
-Fluent and full working proficiency in Mandarin language
-Interest in real estate with a strong commitment to learning micro- and macro-level market dynamics.
-Organized;methodical and proactive;with strong ability to multitask;be resilient and effectively manage time and workload independently.
-Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and interpret data.
-Experience working with information systems;data;and reporting.
-Good command of Microsoft office tools (excel;PowerPoint…).
-Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic matrixed organization.
-2-4 years professional experience can be in economics;consulting;real estate;economic development;urban planning;or other related fields.
-Strong quantitative skillset;including Excel skills;with ability to identify new insights and trends through data analytics.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Desirable:
-Experience with data visualization tools and platforms.
-Experience in commercial real estate.
-Bachelor’s degree in urban planning;Geography;Social Science;Economics;or related discipline.
-Existing knowledge of information research tools.
