Position Description
The incumbent will be responsible for mentoring and advising a designated cohort of students at GTIIT. Detailed duties and responsibilities are as follows.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Formulating and following up with annual work plan for student service;
Formulating, improving and implementing student-related university rules and regulations; And administering students’ appraisal.
2. Helping students develop active and positive outlooks on life and values;
Receiving and answering governmental instructions and requests under normal circumstances and in emergency;
3. Leading and/or coordinating extra-curricular activities to help students build the necessary confidence in leadership and inter-personal communications;
4. Bridging the students with university, government offices and industries;
5. Helping students build the necessary confidence in career development;
6. Working with the Accommodation Office and being proactively involved in the student accommodation cultural mandate;
7. Implementing student dormitory related rules and regulation and they may include safety and hygiene inspection, any violations of rules and regulations and dormitory evaluation;
8. Offering mentor-on-demand services to the students their studies and the services may include their studies and well-being such as their campus life and mental health;
9. Working closely with colleagues and departments on campus to take care of student crisis professionally;
10. Providing administrative supports to the student affairs;
11. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Job Specifications
1. Required qualification / academic degree: Master degree from an internationally reputable university, preferably in psychology, social work, education or relevant subjects.
2. Required experience: Working experiences in higher education institutions preferred.
3. Chinese *** membership required.

6. Ability to handle emergencies and special cases;
7. Available for shift duty at nights and in holidays.
