Background:
Syensqo is a leading science company whose ground-breaking technologies aim to revolutionize the way we live. The University of Lille, located in France, is a prominent public research university known for its diverse academic programs and strong emphasis on innovation and interdisciplinary research. This innovative project is a collaboration between industry (Syensqo) and academia (the University of Lille) and will be carried out at the University of Lille. The post-doctoral researcher will work at Unité de Catalyse et Chimie du Solide, a joint team between the University of Lille and CNRS, working on the development of bio-based solvents. It will be placed under the supervision of the team leader in Unité de Catalyse et Chimie du Solide while interacting with the industrial partner in Syensqo.
Recruitment procedure:
1. The applicants should be currently employed by a scientific or academic institution in mainland China. Chinese scholarship holders currently in France, seeking to extend their stay, are not eligible to apply.
2. This program is only open to young Chinese postdocs with professional experience of 2 years (maximum at the beginning of the internship).
3. Applicants with experience in organic chemistry and physical chemistry would be a plus.
4. The applicants should have strong communication skills, as well as a strong motivation for working on a project involving organic chemistry, physical chemistry, AI/modeling and interaction with industrial partners.
5. Applicants should have a good command of spoken and written English. Some knowledge of French will be useful for daily life.
