International company is in search of one service engineer with direct experience in servicing integrated marine solutions with power generation, power distribution, large MV/ LV Drive and automation technologies for the Marine, offshore and Oil & Gas industries.
The main tasks of the service engineer who takes this position will mainly be commissioning on shipyard site with generator, switchboard, drives, motors and industry technology portfolio to satisfy customer requirements and complete the total solution turnkey project.
Job Description:
o Responsible for marine electric propulsion system project site service including products and systems FAT, installation supervision, commissioning of power generation and distribution system, drive system and automation system on marine and offshore vessels;
o Interface directly with customer for commissioning coordination and question answer and resolve issues
o Must be proficient in planning workload and specific tasks and be able to achieve completion dates.
o Able to understand project-specific documentation (system and functional descriptions, test and commissioning procedures, etc.).
o Collaborate with HQ and designers to test, commission, troubleshoot and especially for complex technical problems solving
o On call service for troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out corrective action when necessary
o Mostly domestic with some international travel to shipyard in other countries or HQ factories or customer facilities is required.
o Project coordination and engineering involvement for some specific projects when necessary
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience
o A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, or similar
o A minimum of 3-5 years of Marine electrical relevant experience
o Marine Power system or Drive/Motor System Solution Design, Service or Commissioning Experience
o Strong organization and excellent time management skills
o Good team cooperation spirit
o Good English verbal and written communication skills
