Missions:
1. In charge of realization Mechanical Characterization & Testing requested by internal customers (technical team from industrial activities).
2. Advise and guide internal customers towards the analysis techniques / methods best suited to their materials characterization issues.
3. Responsible for the complete realization of the assigned analysis requests: estimation of cost and delivery time, planning and realization of analysis, writing of the report, presentation/interpretation to the customer, proposition of amelioration directions.
4. Interact with internal customers to collect and address mechanical characterization technology needs. Develop mechanical characterization methods in the form of projects.
5. Responsibility for equipment/machine(s). Ordering, storage and contact suppliers for: consumables, tools, chemicals, useful for the tests carried out. Ensure regular and predictive calibration and maintenance of equipment.
6. Carrying out a scientific and technical watch in the domain of Mechanical Characterization & testing, learn about existing techniques to make improvements and look for new features (biblio, internet ...)
7. Participate in the life of the laboratory.
8. Research and set up external services and collaborations.
Requirements:
1. Master’s degree or equivalent or above in material science, physics and mechanical / automotive engineering. Strong technical background in mechanical characterization of elastomer / polymer / composite materials.
2. Research/project experience in automotive industry including mechanical characterization of elastomer / polymer / composite material preferred.
3. Autonomous, rigorous, proactive, with an ability to work in teams in a multidisciplinary environment. Willingness to adapt/learn the new project/technology. Customer/result orientation.
