Engineering Development Program (EDP)

Rotation Plan
- You will fulfill 3 assignments x 8 months in different groups within Global Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology and Equipment (GEMTE). One of the three assignments will be in your hiring department Piping & Layout function, and another two we encourage you to align with your manager and bi-directional choose across teams in GEMTE.
- The general objectives of the three assignments are to: help you to understand how the engineering organization is running and how to collaboratively work between disciplines; develop the basic skills required for you to perform engineering design; execute the engineering design for projects on schedule and on budget.
- Piping Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing the piping systems of Chemical Plant in compliance with industry standards and project specifications, and creating the piping drawings and schematics by using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Smart Plant 3D software to support project execution.
- Before starting each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives, and job description will be discussed, agreed and commented at the beginning between you and the assignment manager. The emphasis for each assignment will be on on-the-job training.
- A senior manager will be assigned as a mentor to guide and advise you as you progress through the program. There will be senior engineers assigned to train you for relevant skills required for the work. There will be also various technical documents open to you for learning purpose.
- You are encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from your colleagues.
- You will roll off to Piping Engineering team after 2 years of rotation assignments. Then you will be assigned to work on piping and layout design for various projects in at least 2 years’ timeframe, and for long term we will encourage and support you to drive and develop your own career plan.
Requirements
- Postgraduate by end of Aug 2024, major in Chemical Process Equipment, Chemical Engineering or relevant required.
- Excellent English skills, both written and oral.
- Skillful in use of Office, Auto CAD.
- Open, positive and willing to learn.
