Career Development Program (CDP)

Rotation Plan
- You will fulfill 3 assignments x 8 months in different product lines of Air Products in northwest China. The assignments would be designated by the hiring department in Merchant Commercial team.
- You will start from Special gases business: you will be accountable for prospecting, visiting potential customers to promote special gases business service in northwest, be trained in Packaged Gases (PG) plant to understand PG manufacturing process, cost structure, offering process, and then visit potential customers to sign deals independently.
- Then you will rotate to Micro Bulk (MB) business: you will start to learn MB product line, and you may spend few months to understand Air Products’ advantages, on job training lead by experienced field sales, and then visit and sign deals independently.
- Finally rotate to Liquid Bulk (LB) business: you will start to learn LB product line, Air Products’ advantages, cost structure, offering process, and then visit potential customers to sign deals independently.
- The Merchant Commercial team is accountable for prospecting, visiting potential accounts to promote Air Products’ services, sign contracts and managing existing accounts to maintain business relationship, get customer paid based on the contracts, also promote Air Products’ technical offerings in the market.
- For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives will be provided.
- You will be assigned a senior manager as mentor to guide and advise as you progress through the program.
- You are encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from your colleagues.
- After the three assignments completed, you will be settled in a permanent position as designated by the hiring department, in all cases the talents and the interest of you will be considered when determining the best position.
- For long term development goal in the future, we will encourage and support you to develop to an Area Sales Manager, or, to drive your own career plan.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or postgraduate by end of Aug 2024, major in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Marketing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage customers and influence internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills either through the candidate’s area of study or their previous work experience.
- Ability to create/run Excel spreadsheets, and Power Point slide presentations to communicate business projects supporting the growth of special gases for Air Products China.
- Excellent English skills both in written and oral.
- Open, proactive, ability to work effectively in teams and keen to learning.
