Key Duties and Responsibilities
· To be on duty during all swimming/aquatic lessons.
· To maintain a clean working environment within the PE Department.
This includes but is not limited to the Sports halls, all store rooms , the
pool area itself, changing rooms and office space.
· Ensure all hazardous material is kept in the appropriate storeroom
and in correct containers.
· Maintain adequate ventilation, air conditioning and heating in the
facilities.
· Ensure all equipment is in good working order and stored in its
correct place.
· Help maintain a clean and organized PE environment, including
equipment storage areas.
· Advise the Operations Team of any equipment needed for the
maintenance of the pool and equipment.
· Report any problems with equipment maintenance to the head of
department and the facility team.
· Report any accidents to the head of department and facility Team.
· Be available to help the class teacher with reasonable requests.
· Ensure the safety of the PE lesson area.
· To be prepared to teach in PE lessons. Assist the PE teacher in
planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate physical education lessons.
· Assist in assessing and monitoring students' progress in physical
education classes.
· Support the organization and setup of sports equipment and
facilities for PE classes and extracurricular activities.
· Provide individualized support to students who may require
additional assistance or encouragement in developing their physical skills.
· Assist in extra curricula activities and sporting fixtures, that may
involve travel to other schools and cities and weekend work.
· Assist the head of PE as required.
· Provide administrative assistance.
