Safran Aircraft Engines (Guiyang) Co., Ltd (formerly Snecma Xinyi Airfoil Casting Co., Ltd) was founded in 2006. The company is located in the center of Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Guizhou Province, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. The company adopts advanced casting processes to produce low pressure turbine blades, vanes and seals for CFM56 and now LEAP engines. The CFM56 engine is by far the world's best-selling commercial aircraft engine, and its successor, the LEAP engine, is the fastest-growing engine in the commercial aviation history.
Among the few foreign-invested enterprises in Guiyang, Safran Aircraft Engines Guiyang is the only entity of Safran Group (the world's third largest aerospace company -excluding aircraft manufacturers) in Guizhou. It is a true foreign-funded enterprise with a very high degree of internationalization and it has the standardized management of international high-tech enterprises.
