The main definition of an IDEMIA Equipment Engineer is to provide and validate any technical solutions (new Equipment, Upgrade, Support, and Transfer) in accordance with the needs from the Manufacturing sites, Service Line or Product Development.
The Equipment engineer work closely with the product development and the site concerned through engineering, method, maintenance, and production team.
Coordinate the project with all key players involved, he is fully responsible of the Equipment delivery & qualification process, ensuring with a strong industrial project review that the Solution is fully meeting the industrial expectation (through the Technical Specification).
He will provide to the receiving site all information’s related to the Technical Solution (OEE, scrap, process capabilities, set up time optimization, safety conformity, work instructions in coordination with Engineering, Method & Maintenance team of the concerned site).
Function responsibilities, the equipment engineer will ensure the following:
Write the technical specification according to the need of the requester (manufacturing site, service line and product development)
Benchmark/supplier consultation, Solutions Evaluation
Budget proposal with synthesis of different solutions (pros/cons, costs, Lead-Time, TCO, risk assessment), in coordination with the Equipment Purchasing Director.
Drive the schedule, issues & actions, internal/external communication & the key tasks (PO’s, test materials, installation, acceptance, process validation)
Drive the acceptance process (FAT R1, SAT R2, R3) in order to check the conformity of the solution with the technical specification (process capabilities, performance OEE, safety conformity, functionalities)
Work closely with Maintenance site to define key spare parts list, TPM recommendation, specific procedure of tooling kit change, cleaning instructions.
Support the Production Ramp-up with product development team and Factory Engineering, method, maintenance and production team.
Provide work instruction in coordination with Engineering/Method team of the concerned site
Follow the ramp up phase with the concerned site and closely monitor any process deviation from the Technical Specification
Contribute to best practices sharing point and maintain accuracy of machine inventory list.
