new Science Manager in Application Research.
In This Role You'll Make an Impact By
Projects & Technology:
*
Develop and test microbial and metabolite products in plant health including
biofertilizer and biocontrol products on various crops including field crops
and economic crops
*
Design, conduct and analyze field trials of BioAg products with partners or
3rd party collaborators
*
Design, conduct demos in lab to visually show the product performance
*
Support customer pitch and product promotion from technical perspective
*
Develop product, formulation or application process based on regional
market/customer needs
*
Engage proactively and positively with internal and external stakeholders in
different levels
*
Perform statistical analysis using common tools such as SAS, JMP etc
*
Transfer scientific principle and trial data to promotion materials
*
Strive towards excellence in Plant Health
*
Stay updated on relevant technologies and scientific developments
*
Take initiative to explore digital solutions to improve working efficiency
*
Prepare and write-up scientific papers
Project Leadership:
*
Take on AL responsibilities for projects in complex nature when appointed
*
As AL prepare plans for coordination and progress of a project within PHB APAC
and Plant BioYield and Plant BioControl Business Portfolio Unit (BPU)
Supervision:
*
Provide guidance and information to Research Associate and Lab Assistant to
secure fast, efficient and prioritized solving of tasks
*
Secure a challenging and developing working environment for Research
Associates and Assistants
*
Establish and supervise student projects
Organizational Development:
*
Contribute to the development of department strategies
*
In compliance with safety rules and QMS
Collaboration Internal/External:
*
Ensure good cooperation within the department
*
Collaborate closely with other parts of PHB APAC, R&D and BPU
*
Establish and maintain a network with selected universities, contract research
organizations, partners and customers
Customer centricity:
*
Have solid knowledge of customers and the product application process in the
project, be able to dig out the hidden customer needs and translate to project
targets
*
Together with Product Owner (PO), define the value proposition of our solution
for customers.
To succeed in this role, your profile could be
*
PHD or master's degree within agriculture
*
Experienced scientist in field trial management of agricultural product
*
Experienced scientist with solid publication record within plant health and
nutrition
*
Highly experienced in designing, analyzing and communicating results
scientifically based on field or demo trials
*
Have experience with bio-assay lab and experimental set-up
*
Have experience in BioAg product development
*
Have experience with use of statistics and data management in research setting
*
Be a team player with good communication and networking skills
*
Have good digitalization skills
*
Powerful presentation skills; superior written communication skills
*
Fluent in English
