Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
61 Bachelor degree or higher
61 An understanding of transnational education.
61 High level of written and spoken English (IELTS7.0 or equivalent).
61 A working knowledge of another Asian language such as Chinese (Mandarin), Indonesian, Korean or Vietnamese.
61 Ability to use a range of information and communication technologies effectively including: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Web, mail and conferencing software.
61 Excellent organisational skills including previous secretarial experience.
61 Effective self and work organisation skills, including ability to work quickly but accurately, ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure of work volume, ability to prioritise own tasks and capacity to work as part of a team.
Desirable:
61 An understanding of transnational education.
61 A knowledge of Australian Vocational and/or Higher Education.
Duties include
Secretariat Responsibilities
61 Organize calendars and coordinate schedules for high level meetings
61 Prepare and distribute meeting agendas.
61 Take and distribute meeting minutes.
61 Provide high-level document translation and interpretation services
61 Coordinate scheduling, preparation and distribution of teaching and assessment materials.
61 Provide on-going support to offshore teaching staff as a point of contact and guidance for administrative inquiries and issues.
Audit and Compliance
61 Maintain comprehensive records such as meeting minutes, file notes on decisions
61 Ensure that teaching staff maintain adequate records as to teaching reports, marking, entering of results, incidents.
