Job description
This position will support the company’s biologics discovery services function. The main responsibility is to develop, establish and expand protein analytical capability of recombinant proteins.
Responsibilities
1.Serve as technical expert and conduct protein and mAb characterization using various analytical, especially in HPLC, CE, and LC-MS, and biological tools.
2.Design and perform technical experiments with minimal supervision. Perform data analysis and make rationale conclusion. Write technical summary and report. Trouble shooting of LC-MS instrument and abnormal data.
3.Help to manage laboratory operations to ensure standardize and streamline workflow and organized environment. Responsible for the maintenance of lab instruments and equipment.
4.Manage work and project plan according to timeline and functional goals and objectives.
5.Proactively communicate with managers regarding work, data, and conclusion
6.Troubleshooting technical problem as needed.
Qualifications
1.BS degree in science field (chemistry, biology, biophysics and biochemistry) with MS preferred. Have at least 1-2 years of actual working experience in characterizing and analysis of various protein, including mAb.
2.Solid experience in LC-MS analysis of proteins and Ab structural features and molecular variants (such modifications and glycan moiety). Extensive experience with LC-MS in characterizing protein and familiarity with mass spectrometry instrument is highly desirable.
3.Demonstrated technical skills and experience in the following areas:
a) Characterization of proteins using analytical tools/methods such as HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, peptide-mapping, capillary electrophoresis (CE), cIEF, glycan analysis, ELISA, SPR (Biacore), DSC, etc..
b) Various chromatography techniques，affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion, HIC, and in combination with various detection technologies (UV,fluorescence, ELSD, PAD, CAD)
c) Experience with antibody expression will be a plus.
4.Demonstrated competence in working in a dynamic environment. Collaboration, organization, and communication skills are critical to this role.
5.Track record of publication in peer reviewed scientific journals.
