Our Commodity Futures Research Intern position offers hands on training and learning opportunities on global oilseeds and vegetable oil markets. As a research assistant, you will focus on facilitating researchers’ workflow on analyzing the market in order to profit in the futures trading market. You will increase your knowledge through interaction with research analysts relaying market information. You will improve your technical skills through working with historical data. The intern will join us as a temporary assistant and this position does not guarantee a permanent role in the company.
Further intern responsibilities may include:
61 Work on specific commodity-related data collection, which includes SND components, market prices, and develop methods to process data to generate insights.
61 Assist analysts to prepare presentations, assimilate historical data and generate reports that create interest in commodities.
61 Ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
61 Candidates are required to be pursuing a PHD degree from an accredited college or university
61 3.2 minimum GPA preferred
61 Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, and oral communications skills
61 Superior analytical and organizational skills
61 Ability to manage several projects at once
61 Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
61 Other desired characteristics include integrity, attention to detail, assertiveness, strong work ethic and team focus
61 Strong interest in commodity markets and keen interest in complex structures is preferred
61 Proficiency in excel, PPT, etc.
