Job Requirements:
61 An Electrical/Computer Engineering Bachelor's degree plus 2 years, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
61 Great young talent with 3 years of experience is firstly considerable.
61 Candidate must have working knowledge of CPU, GPU, and system architectures and their implications on system power and performance.
61 Board development experience is a great plus.
61 Script program capabilities for Python, C is a great plus.
61 System defect eye inspection and system assembling. (Physically good at color differencing and hands-on soldering/assembling)
61 Knowledge in BIOS, device driver, application software, benchmark software, and how they interact with hardware is preferred.
61 Setup test environment including hardware and software for power and performance data collection.
61 According to power and performance validation and optimization request design corresponding test flow.
61 Hands-on lab experience with a focus on power and performance data collection and analysis.
61 Initial analysis of power and performance data and cowork with architecture team and power management feature lead to help product hit power and performance target.
61 Excellent program management and communication skill is required (both verbal and written), including Mandarin and English.
61 In this position, key performance skills include decision making, problem solving, teamwork, and communication.
Primary Purpose & Key Job Functions:
61 This role will lead AMD's new APU/CPU Power and Performance defining, verifying and customer releasing. Candidate needs to find/develop different methodologies to finalize the plan and plan execution.
61 This role will need to find out the best performance and power balance for AMD's new APU/CPU product, including but not limit to silicon leakage, boost time constraint, temperature control and variant methods for power/performance fine tunings.
61 The candidate will have product responsibility for the power and performance aspects of new product development.
61 This responsibility will extend from the development of pre-silicon test plans to the delivery of production power and performance characterization data in support the product launch.
61 In addition, the candidate will be the initial point of contact for the other AMD engineering development teams on all power and performance issues. The candidate is responsible for reporting out the power and performance status to the AMD technical community.
61 The candidate will program manage the technical resources necessary to execute the test plans.
61 In the event of customer power and performance issues, the candidate will be the technical liaison in support of resolution.
