Position Overview:
The Program Management Engineer will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our automotive component development programs. You will work closely with cross functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, operation and quality, to ensure that programs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirements. Coordinate and manage tasks, resources, and timelines to ensure project milestones are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between different departments, facilitating communication and cooperation to ensure seamless project progression. Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and constraints.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that my impact project success. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure project continuity.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations. Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Cost Control: Track project costs, identify variances, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or performance.
Customer Engagement: Maintain regular communication with customers, understanding their needs, expectations, and providing updates on project progress. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and presentations. Provide regular updates to senior management, stakeholders and customers.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating best practices and lessons learned into future projects.
Qualifications:
Education: bachelor’s degree, Engineering background would be a plus;
Technical Skills: Understanding of automotive components, manufacturing processes.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze problems, think critically and logically, and develop effective solutions.
Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
