Position Summary:
The PE/Activities Coach will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment where students can develop their physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will have expertise in physical education and activities, with a passion for inspiring students to lead healthy and active lifestyles. This position requires coordination and implementation of sports activities and other extracurricular programs aligned with the school’s values and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons that align with the school’s curriculum framework.
Activity Coordination: Organize and supervise extracurricular sports programs, clubs, and inter-school competitions.
After-School Activities (ASA) Coordination: Plan and oversee ASA programs, ensuring a variety of opportunities for student engagement and development.
Summer School Coordination: Design and manage summer school activities to support student enrichment and physical development.
Weekend School Coordination: Coordinate weekend school programs, creating opportunities for students to participate in additional sports and activities.
Student Athlete Tournaments: Coordinate and support student participation in local, regional, and international athletic tournaments, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and achievement.
Student Development: Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline through structured sports activities and training sessions.
Program Management: Assist in developing and maintaining activity schedules, equipment inventory, and resource allocation for PE and activities programs.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of PE and Activities Coordinator to ensure alignment with the school’s educational goals and event planning.
Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety of all students during activities by maintaining proper supervision, conducting risk assessments, and adhering to school policies and safety standards.
Parent Engagement: Communicate with parents about their children’s progress and involvement in activities, addressing any questions or concerns.
Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in physical education and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a coach or PE teacher, preferably in an international school setting.
Strong knowledge of sports rules, techniques, and strategies.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
