MANAGEMENT & RESPONSIBILITIES
61Manage team of Lab technicians
61Responsible for compliance with Mars Global Laboratory Standard and local requirements
61Respect the operating budget
61Coordinate Ring testing and Proficiency Test
61Coordinate RM and finished product quality control programs
61Responsible for the equipment (in lab and in the extrusion area) maintenance and calibration
61Responsible for lab consumable and service supplies
61Organize and train lab technicians
61Responsible for chemical waste management
61Responsible for maintaining a safe environment
61Responsible for control of chemicals
61Responsible for performing analysis
61Communicate with regional/central lab and external lab
61Coordinate the shipment of samples (internal/external)
61Service internal and external clients
61Responsible for retention samples
61Coordinate the OOS, NC and complaint investigation
61Responsible for product release
61Responsible for lab system management
61Manage continuous improvement in the laboratory
61Updating management on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
61As required, guarantee quality tests on incoming raw materials as specified in reception procedure
61Quality control procedures (perform and record)
61Sampling of products to ensure quality control
SAFETY
61All PPE must be worn in compliance with the Legal/RC requirements
61Enforce/Respect the safety rules and the internal policy
61Stop any equipment / operative works / external company works if safety/environment protection/fire protection rules are broken
61Guarantee and apply ISO 45001 and all related working procedures
ENVIRONMENT
61Guarantee and apply ISO 14001 (Environment), and all related working procedures
61Ownership of environmental responsibilities
QUALITY & FOODSAFETY
61Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, 22000, FSSC 22000, Mars Standards, and all related working procedures
61Support the HACCP program in the department
61Lead GMP-GHP in the area, 5S
61Inform Q&FS manager of quality deviations according to product standards and production procedures
61Perform the oPRP’s procedure according to SOPs
61Validate all analysis results
61Responsible for auto control analysis
61Coordinate the daily morning panel
61Collect Q&FS KPIs as for input to periodically management review;
61Any task as delegated by Manager
HUMAN RESOURCES
61Training: attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designed person in the position
CLEANLINESS & TIDINESS
61Ensure proper housekeeping is done on a daily basis in the lab and sample rooms
61Perform 5S audits
COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION
61Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules
61Communicate to all departments about rejected RM’s or RM’s placed on QA Hold
61Update KPIs
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualifications
61Higher education in food science, chemistry, laboratory, or similar fields is mandatory
61Previous experience in a food / feed plant laboratory preferred
61Have the health certificate within the validity period
Knowledge / Experience
61Experience in HPLC, GC and NIR is preferred
61Good communication skills to liaise internally and externally, as well as to assist in motivating, training, and improving the lab team
61Sensitivity to the quality and food safety incidents
61Be Familiar with quality tools regarding root cause analysis, smart decision making, risk assessment and etec.
61Good computer skills, include office and other data analysis software.
61self-motivated, initiative, team player, odor sensitive and texture perception, depth perception, safety & hygiene & quality conscious
61Fluent English speaking and writing.
