POSITION : Assistant Merchandiser

REPORTS TO (TITLE) : Merchandise Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Support Merchandising team in sourcing quality merchandise from appropriate vendors and executing on product decisions. Enable and train vendors to work in vendor gateway to support new product introductions. Can complete a small project independently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
83 Assist Merchandisers in preparing upfront work for vendor investigation and preparing work for project execution with goal of achieving trip objectives.
83 Assist Merchandisers in providing relevant product or competitor information.
83 Can complete a small project independently.
83 Communicate with, train and support vendors in Vendor Gateway, providing them with reports as needed, with the goal of achieving Vendor management scorecard objectives.
83 Assist Merchandiser with Category Business Manager’s trip:
85 arrange samples to be sent for pre-inspection by vendors
85 run reports
85 collect quotes
85 collect samples for Finalization
85 land quotes and input into cost comparison
85 track samples and quotes and keep team informed
85 arrange samples to be sent to Home Office
85 follow up on all details after trip for successful execution
83 Offer assistance as required from other departments at Home Office
83 Vendor management – daily and proactively
83 Manage sample process and coordinate on time ordering and review of samples to hit line review timelines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
83 The incumbent will support 2 merchandisers with many different categories and processes and will need to be able to prioritize projects & timelines.
83 The incumbent will deal with Category Business Managers, CBAs, cross functional teams from Home Office, and vendors of different levels & backgrounds. Such tasks require the capability to maintain positive working relationships.

GENERAL
83 1~2 years working experience, working experience in foreign buying office is preferred.
83 Good command of local language, Mandarin, and fluent English.
83 Skillful to use MS Excel and MS Power Point.
83 Quick learner and Good comprehensive ability.
