Overview of position:
The instructor is responsible for teaching assigned classes in accordance with Berlitz instruction principles (Method) for maintaining student class records and fulfilling administrative duties within their instructor position as required or requested.
Instructor Aim:
61 To deliver high quality language instruction following the basic principles and techniques of Berlitz focused on the interests and needs of the students, working with private students and groups of differing sizes at the Language Centre (LC) and at off-site locations
61 Maximized student participation
61 to be on time for all lessons – In-person / Online
61 to teach both children and adults as assigned
61 to be on time into the Learning Center(LC) and into all lessons
61 to teach both children and adults as assigned
61 to teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students of all ages
61 to be prepared to teach groups, large classes, and corporate clients both at the LC and at company/client locations
61 to ensure all relevant information is updated in daily administration tasks ( ped cards, teacher daily schedule slips, student sign sheets, instructor records, HR forms etc.
61 to align behavior with the Five Berlitz Operating Principles
Qualifications / Related Experience
61 Educated native proficiency / near-native fluency in the language s/he will teach
61 Cultural sensitivity
61 Relevant work experience, preferred
61 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
61 Successful completion of the Berlitz instructor training (IQP)
61 Teaching experience and/or qualifications desired, but not essential
