Research Fellow in Medical Physics (Mechanical Automation)
Position Overview:
We are seeking applications for an open position as the Research Fellow in Medical Physics (Mechanical Automation). The Medical Physics research facility supports faculty, staff, and students to pursue a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research activities related to medical physics. Built upon a premier Sino-US joint-venture university, Medical Physics will integrate global culture, train skillful talents, create innovative technologies and facilitate transformative precision health care. The successful applicants will lead/carry out research projects and assist in the development of the lab under the supervision of Prof. Fang-Fang Yin. Prof. Fang-Fang Yin, Full Professor of Medical Physics
Essential Duties:
1. Mainly responsible for collaborative robot body product structure research and development, design, optimization work.
2. Participate in market and technology research, understand the cutting-edge technology, put forward the new project R & D design program, complete product development and upgrades.
3. Responsible for the determination of robot technical indexes, mechanical structure, transmission structure, reducer structure and sealing structure program design, detailed 3D structure and industrial appearance design.
4. Finite element simulation analysis and optimization of robot body structure, key components selection and checking, static analysis, dynamics analysis, frequency analysis, topology optimization, to ensure that the structural strength and inertia of each component is optimal.
5. Engineering drawings, processing process confirmation, and optimizing the electrical layout of the whole machine in cooperation with electrical engineers. Evaluate the performance parameters of the whole machine, extract the optimization target and optimize it.
6. Robot non-standard project evaluation, reformulation design, project progress control, the introduction of other key materials, mold making and other technical communication.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above.
2. Proficient in the use of PROE , SW, UG and other three-dimensional modeling software, and Ansys, Abaqus and other simulation software.
3. Familiar with robot key components (motor, reducer) selection calculation and calibration.
4. Familiar with mechanical principles and design, engineering drawing design standards and processing technology.
5. Rigorous thinking, strong self-control, self-learning ability, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
