ABOUT YOUR ROLE
● You will be responsible for working & communicating with design teams to evaluate the functionality of new computer controlled electro-mechanical equipment for the labelling & garment retail industries.
● Document your findings, highlight improvements that you believe will enhance the performance & user friendliness of the machinery or associated software.
● Write documentation & user guides to be used by both Avery Dennison engineers & customers.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
● Test & evaluate new hardware & software printing products. Provide constructive feedback to the design teams.
● To work closely with design teams - both within Avery Dennison & 3rd part suppliers to test, diagnose issues, in order to enhance the performance of the equipment.
● To fully evaluate new label printing solutions ahead of deployment to customers including electronic printers, label media including RFID & factory supply chain monitoring solutions.
● Support & evaluate label printing or supply chain software & linked cloud based data processing systems. Test, provide feedback on functionality & document the solution.
● Write technical operating user guides to be used by customers & Avery Dennison teams.
● Provide technical training to other engineers on new hardware/software products.
● Provide remote technical support to both customers & Avery Dennison engineers via telephone or email.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
● Degree or Higher Diploma college level education.
● Communication & report writing in English essential.
● Previous experience in a support role - software or technical support.
● Candidates must be computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft or Google Office products.
● Electro-mechanical background advantageous.
● Knowledge or experience of RFID beneficial, but training will be provided.
● Previous experience in the label printing or a manufacturing industry preferred.
● Display & utilize logical & analytical problem solving skills - able to work independently.

● Be willing to travel locally & abroad if requested.
