Position Overview:
The Initiative for Sustainable Investment (ISI) at Duke Kunshan University seeks to hire one full-time research assistant. The position primarily involves empirical research in environmental economics, economics of climate change and green finance. The research assistant will complete tasks such as research design, data collection, empirical analysis, paper writing, and results presentation. The candidate is required to possess one or more prominent quantitative analysis skills, along with the ability to conduct independent research, excellent analytical and writing skills, and strong communication abilities.
Reports to:
Prof. Junjie Zhang, Professor in Environmental Science and Policy
Essential Duties:
1 Keep track of the research and practice in the field of environmental economics and green finance.
2 Fully participate in research project development and implementation, including but not limited to collecting and organizing data, establishing research framework, conducting quantitative analysis, and writing research reports.
3 Assist the team in communicating and cooperating with governments, research institutions, enterprises, financial institutions, and other partners.
4 Assist the work of other team members.
5 University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.
Required Qualifications:
1 A master’s or Ph.D. degree in economics, data science, environmental science, or other related fields.
2 Research experience in fields related to environment, energy and climate change.
3 Strong data analysis and programming skills.
4 Superior verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
5 Good communication skills and project management capabilities.
