Overview
The Legal Specialist will play a key role in providing legal support within our industrial and manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with various business units to address a wide range of legal matters. This position involves drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and resolving legal disputes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company’s legal and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
85 Contract Review/Management:
87 Draft, and review contracts in relation to Industrial Business Unit’s operation in APAC with a focus on procurement contracts, distribution agreements and other relevant documents, and support the same of other BUs on a needed basis.
87 Prepare or update template contracts as required by the supervisor;
87 Collect and organize signed contracts, ensuring systematic filing for easy retrieval and reference when needed.
85 Compliance:
87 Provide compliance training to employees to ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
87 Communicate, investigate, and take necessary actions to ensure the company’s activities, business practices, and transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
87 Conduct background screenings for vendors and other business partners interacting with government or state-owned companies.
85 Trainings:
87 Deliver training sessions to the Industrial Business Unit and Channel Business Unit on compliance and other topics to mitigate business risks
85 Dispute Resolution:
87 Assist in the collection of overdue payments and managing other minor legal disputes, including drafting legal demand letters, settlement agreements or coordinating with external counsel.
85 Cross-Functional Collaboration:
87 Work closely with other functions (e.g., Procurement, Compliance, Sales Operation and etc.) to provide diverse legal support needed by the BU stakeholders.
85 Others:
87 Assist legal counsels in conducting legal research as needed.
87 Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
85 Ability to draft, review, and modify commercial contracts with minimal supervision.
85 Capable of identifying legal risks, analyzing complex legal issues, and proposing clear, actionable solutions.
85 Strong ability to quickly grasp business needs and build trust with internal stakeholders by delivering timely and practical legal support. Basic understanding of the manufacturing, industrial, or technology sectors is a plus.
85 Quick learner with the ability to adapt to internal legal policies, systems, and processes.
85 Strong cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
85 Graduate from an accredited law program or holder of a law degree in China.
85 Must have passed the Bar Exam in China.
85 1-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained in a leading law firm or international corporation.
85 Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
