- Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate instructional efforts.
- Prepare lesson/practical materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations, as requested by allocated teachers.
- Assist children individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
- Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips, as requested.
- Conduct demonstrations to support Science or cooking lessons
- Help to enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
- Support and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees, as required.
- Laminate and reproduce teaching materials for the Science department or as directed by SET.
- Operate and maintain school equipment.
- Requisition and stock teaching materials and supplies in Science labs and cooking rooms.
- Type, file, and duplicate materials.
- Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
- Preparation and assembly of laboratory (including chemicals) and cooking room equipment, as per allocated teacher requests.
- To assist in the safe storage of hazardous chemicals in line with national regulations.
- To assist in the cooking room or Science labs at reasonable request, during lesson times and/or after school activities.
- Ensure an up to date inventory of equipment etc in Science Labs, Storage room and Cooking room area is maintained.
- To carry out occasional other requests from direct supervisor.
