Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced In Vitro Scientist to join our R&D Department. The In Vitro Scientist will play a crucial role in designing, executing, and analysing in vitro experiments to support our drug discovery and development programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the development of novel therapies.
Responsibilities
1. Serve as a bridge between In Vitro and In Vivo team to facilitate the translation of finding.
2. Development and optimization of new experiment capabilities.
3. Conduct daily in vitro experiments, including cell-based assays, biochemical assays, and molecular biology techniques.
4. Work with In Vitro team to develop and optimize protocols for new assays and techniques to support research objectives.
5. Work with In Vitro and In Vivo team to prepare tissue and cell samples, and to make use of dyes, antibodies, and gene probes to identify the components of the nervous system.
6. Ensure high-quality data generation through rigorous experimental execution.
7. Analyze and interpret experimental data using statistical and computational tools.
8. Present findings in internal meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.
9. Document experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic databases.
10. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including biologists and chemists, especially In Vivo team, to advance research projects.
11. Communicate effectively with team members, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
12. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning and calibration.
13. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Skills
Technical skills:
1. Proficiency in cell culture techniques, including maintenance of primary and immortalized cell lines.
2. Experience with biochemical assays (e.g., ELISA, Western blot, enzyme assays).
3. Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, cloning).
Analytical Skills:
1. Ability to analyze the data and draw meaningful conclusions.
2. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism).
Communication Skills:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese/English.
2. Ability to document experimental procedures and results in English.
3. Ability to present scientific data clearly and concisely.
Prefer: Familiar with sample preparation and downstream analysis of tissue samples from In Vivo team.
