OBJECTIVES
The nurse's main responsibilities are to provide a clinically effective, high-quality service of nursing and *** aid care to pupils and staff. Handle common, occurring and seasonal diseases assessment, minor injury, triage, referral and maintain the medical record in school system. As well as prepare documents as required and cooperate with inspections by local government.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide effective, high- quality service of nursing to pupils and staff.
* Maintain a high level of order, safety and strict control over medicine.
* Administer medication and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers. Record dispensing of drugs following drug protocols.
* Keep nursing records to a high standard ensuring the accurate, confidential, safe and rapid retrieval of information.
* Report to the head nurse or relevant co-workers when emergency happens, with a proper ***-aid or nursing treatment on time.
* Provide a high understanding of child safeguarding and protection,report potential problems to relevant school staff on time.
* Observe and document pupils’ health history which orients the treatments to pupils especially when emergency happens.
* Allergy management (Allergy list update to all academic staff and Cafeteria as well as allergy card making).
* Liaise with parents and teachers over their child’s medical needs as appropriate. Do individual care plan as needed.
* Assist head nurse to organize visual screening and/or physical examination according to the requests of local government. Do follow up as needed.
* Maintain stock of all medical supplies and ensure emergency equipment are standby.
* Provide medical service for the school events.
* Keep up-to-date with current health promotion initiatives and promote health education throughout the pupils and staff.
* Monitor the progress of infection disease,eg. Flu or chickenpox and report to senior management any major developments.
* Arrange vaccination programs for pupils.
* Take 1-2 weeks night shift or on call per month.
BASIC QUALIFICATION
* College degree or above Major in nursing
* Nursing or related major
* Chinese registered nurse license
* Native Chinese speaker and fluent in English
* A minimum of 1-year relative experience
EXPERTISE
* sufficient nursing knowledge and skills
* ability to deliver excellent nursing service at all times
* familiar with Office software.
