POSITION OVERVIEW:
61As a Regional Product Application Engineer, you will be the technical expert supporting customers and partners for a dedicated product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to deliver tailored solutions, resolve technical challenges, and drive product success.
This position will support the Integrated Circuit Solutions (ICS) business group which includes power and signal path semiconductors. Regional responsibility for this position is Chian.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Customer Support:
· Promote ICS portfolio to our customers’ technical community alongside sales, marketing, and/or channel partners
61Lead design-in efforts, from the technical perspective, for key customers once a project intersection point is identified
61Analyze customer requirements, design schematics, and troubleshoot system-level issues
61Assist in developing reference designs, application notes, and simulation models (e.g., SPICE, SIMPLIS) to accelerate customer design cycles
61Provide post-sales technical support
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
61Work alongside regional marketing manager to identify customer targets based on existing product portfolio, R&D roadmap plans, and end customer’s end equipment / business size; drive demand creation and follow up opportunities progress through customer whole design cycle.
61Support regional sales teams with technical training, product presentations, and competitive analysis.
61Work with R&D to translate customer feedback into product improvement or new feature development.
Product Demonstration & Validation:
61Conduct hands-on lab testing, bench evaluations, and failure analysis for customer prototypes.
61Validate product performance against industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
Documentation & Training:
61Create technical collateral, including whitepapers, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
61Deliver webinars and workshops to educate customers and distributors.

Hard Skills:
61Capable of understanding technical aspects of electronic systems, from the customers’ applications down to product features
61Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, circuit simulations, (SPICE,SIMPLIS) modelling, PCB design, etc.
61Semiconductor device physics and electrical engineering knowledge
61Excellent analytical skills and structured work approach

Minimum Qualifications:
61Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or related field.
61Technical Skills:
6161Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, thermal analyzers) and simulation tools (LTspice, MATLAB etc.).
61Familiarity with PCB layout best practices and EMI/EMC compliance.
61Soft Skills:
6161Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
61Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
61Fluency in Chinese and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
61Education: Master’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or related field
61Experience: 1-5+ years in applications engineering, field support, or product development in semiconductor/power electronics industries.
61Experience with automotive or industrial power systems.
61Understanding of power distribution architectures (e.g., DC/DC converters, power management) and signal chain (switch,OPA,ADC/DCA etc).
