1.Technology Development / Development of Building Blocks
61Performing research on & development of products, material, process, technology modules and methods within the framework of feasibility studies, business cases and/or projects. Contribute to the buildup of a basic knowledge and groundwork;
61Experimental work (measurements, preparations of samples, plan and execute trials on lab and pilot scale);
61Pilot and/or production trials are coordinated and supervised.
2.Project Work
61Take over role of Project Leader;
61Supports and initiates development projects;
Knowledge Management
61Job Holder continuously ensures the maintenance (and development of knowledge (width & depth incl. documentation and lab-specific training) ;
61Documenting and reporting proactively in written and verbal form.
3.Intellectual Property and State of the Art Analysis / FTO Analysis
61Contributes to and initiates applications for patents;
61Performs "State of the Art" analyses in consultation with the related responsibilities;
61Supports Patent Field Expert Team;
61Supports FTO analysis from a technological perspective.
4.Digital TD Resources & Systems
61Every TD position requires the active usage of and adherence to digital TD resources and systems - specifically LIMS (Lab Information Management System) for the planning of lab trials, documentation of experimental data and evaluation of all data.
5Networking
61Actively builds up and maintains internal and external networks, with the focus on technological aspects (e.g. suppliers) ;
61Maintains external co-operations;
6Responsibilities regarding personnel;
61Recruiting and technical guidance/supervision of lab technicians/interns and supporting of those.

1. PhD degree in (Polymer) Chemistry or Material Science (with profound know-how in Chemistry);
2.2+ years’ experience in related industry;
3.Knowledge/ Experience in waterborne adhesive coating is a plus;
4.Proficiency in preparative laboratory techniques with keen ability to evaluate and implement novel chemical concepts;
5.Solid experience in project management;
6.Analytical, independent, problem-solving, and team-oriented working style with strong organizational skills;
7.Excellent communication and networking abilities, confident in presenting findings internally and externally;
8.Full professional proficiency of English language skills is appreciated.
