The Role
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a squad of software engineers and SDETs. You will collaborate with the engineering manager, architects, and the lead to implement technical strategies and direction. You will work with a stack that includes Rails and Postgres, with containerized microservices in Kubernetes (k8s). This role operates in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high quality and on-time delivery.
What You’ll Do
·Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions
·Contribute to technical discussions and provide input to the squad
·Ensure the implementation of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
·Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features and improvements
·Mentor and support junior engineers in the squad
·Utilize Jira for task management and tracking
·Work within a Scrum team to follow Agile methodologies
·Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
·Provide high-level estimations for project planning
·Participate in roadmap refinement and planning sessions
·Support operational escalations and ensure timely resolution
·Take ownership of tasks and contribute to shaping delivery
What You’ll Bring
·1+ years of experience in software engineering
·Experience with Angular, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, .NET, Docker, and Kubernetes (k8s)
·Possess foundational skills and understanding of containerized microservices.
·Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and solutions
·Experience in supporting technical projects and providing strategic input
·A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends
·Familiarity with Jira and Agile methodologies
·Understanding of SDLC processes and best practices
·Ability to provide high-level estimations and contribute to roadmap refinement
