Research Associate Temp - Your Future Position?
A Research Associate role in the Discovery group of the Fragrance Division is pivotal in the development of new molecules for perfumery and sensory evaluation, utilizing skills in synthetic organic chemistry acquired though high-level education at esteemed academic institutions. The role requires people conducting research programs focused on identifying high-performing and sustainable odorants and additives for the Fragrance Industry, aligned with the company's business objectives and corporate strategy. The major focus of the role is synthesizing the research molecules based on Research Scientist’s design.
In this exciting role you will:
61 Deep knowledge of organic reactions, effectively conduct laboratory experiments utilizing established internal and existing literature procedures. Evaluate and solve synthetic problems with certain degree of independence. Design synthetic access to target molecules.
61 Synthesis, purification and analysis of new perfume ingredients on milligram, gram and multi-gram scale.
61 Optimization and up-scaling of chemical processes.
61 Documentation of experimental data in English, observations and conclusions.
61 Maintenance of the lab equipment and the stock of basic chemicals.
61 Good knowledge of safety of laboratory work.
61 Help to maintain a tidy and clean workspace.

Your professional profile includes:
61 Master degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with 1+ year’s work experience, or Bachelor degree with 3+ years’ work experience in organic synthesis.
61 Participate actively in discussions and group seminar.
61 A skilled preparative organic Chemist with good organic synthesis experience and deep knowledge of organic reactions.
61 In depth knowledge and experience in analysis (NMR, GC-MS) and organic purification technology.
61 MS Office, CS ChemOffice (ChemDraw), Scifinder, Reaxys.
61 Team player, resistant and ability to set the right priorities.
61 Good knowledge of safety in organic laboratory work.
61 Good command of spoken and written English.
