Job Description ( 6-month Project )
To work with colleagues within an acquired company to transfer them from their existing laptop to a new build laptop.
This will involve:
- Preparing the laptop for the customer in terms of build and software provisioning
- Taking the colleague through a defined process of migration including profile configuration, data transfer, system access, printing setup
- Providing post migration support for any issues that arise post laptop migration
Technical Skills Required
- Good knowledge of Operating Systems (primarily Windows 11 but MacOS would be a bonus) including how to update, install software, resolve issues
- Good hardware knowledge to allow diagnosis of potential hardware problems
- Basic network understanding to be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues
- An understanding of security practices with the ability to identify any potential security threats
Soft Skills Required
- Strong customer facing approach, patience and empathy when dealing with colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work within a team and take direction but with the ability to use initiative to improve / change processes where appropriate
- Experience in a Professional environment including appropriate dress and behaviours
- The ability to prioritise tasks and to adapt to different priorities as they arise
