Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will work as part of a team of lawyers with extensive industry experience, helping clients solve complex business issues. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Handle a wide range of China-related IP matters, both contentious and non-contentious, as well as new and emerging issues involving technology, cybersecurity and data privacy
* IP portfolio management and enforcement, brand protection
* Advise and manage litigation and administrative proceedings
* Conduct IP audits, negotiate and draft IP contracts and advise on commercial exploitation of IP rights
* Perform knowledge management
* Work with the team to stay alert to the changing IP landscape in China and any updates in Chinese IP regulations
Requirements
* Qualified solicitors with 1 to 3 years’ PQE, from both Hong Kong and overseas jurisdictions with requisite legal skills are welcome
* Background in China experiences would be an advantage
* Interests in and has an aptitude for issues such as cybersecurity and new technologies
* Excellent level of both written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin
* A motivated, proactive individual who has the ability to build and maintain client relationships
* A client service driven approach to work
* Ability to work well both individually and in a team setting with strong communication skills and a high level of commercial awareness
